After Christmas, Ruprecht came tired to the land of the dwarfs. In his hand he carried a large magic onion. "Plant them, take care of them," said the old man, "when I'm lying in my dreams, our new sugar cone tree will grow happily!"

The children's book author Albert Sixtus (1892 - 1960), who also devised the well-known bunny school, reports in catchy verses that where the school bags come from.

The colorful illustrations by Richard Heinrich give the event additional happiness.
